The cabinet of curiosity, which emerged in Dresden from the 16th century onward, was a wondrous chambers filled with curiosities and served as walkable encyclopedia of it's time. Augustus the Strong transformed part of Dresden’s cabinet of curiosity into the Green Vault Treasury Museum, which he founded in 1723.
